About this place
Sour Swamp puts sour craft beers at the centre of its line-up, with IPAs and lagers for those after a different style. One customer described the Dark Cherry San they ordered as berry-coloured and tart, but easy to drink. If sour beer is new to you, it could be a good place to start. The menu also lists fruit sour ales, an Ordinary Bitter at 3.5% ABV and a Hazy IPA at 6.7% ABV, offering a chance to branch out while keeping sour beers in the mix. Customers have noted that the taps can change, so there may be something different to try on each visit.
To go with a beer, consider the plate of shio-koji chicken ham, yam hed and som tam, or the Thai-style mushroom salad made with yam hed. The contents of the snack plate may vary, making it a useful choice if you want to see what is on offer that day. There are also kumquat and cucumber pickles and a Spanish-style omelette. It is an easy place to put together a light spread for an evening drink or a weekend lunchtime beer.
